Off Road in Ushuaia
This had to have been Ted’s favorite part of the tours that we took. We crossed the Andes in “Rosie” – an Agrale Marrua, a converted Brazilian military vehicle. We got to drive on the shores of lakes, traverse rutted dirt roads, and meet a team of sled dogs.
We got to do some hiking and exploring on the way, and our tour guide introduced us to the local berry, calafate. The girls stayed busy searching for the tiny berries in the woods.
Midway through the day, we ended up at a camp that trains sled dogs. Grace was in heaven playing with all of the dogs. The tour guides cooked us an amazing asado, which we got to share with a group of three women who were visiting from Buenos Aires.
Looks so beautiful 🙂
